Alternative Education Provision
Alternative Education - KS4
Students attend two or three days per week, during which we support the development of their social and emotional skills, resilience, academic progress in Maths, English and Creative/DT, and personal development, including PSHE, helping students strengthen their self-awareness and life skills. Our aim is to prepare students to access the GCSE curriculum in Maths and English, while also working towards a range of AQA awards. Where appropriate, we offer a Functional Skills pathway.
Students take part in other enrichment activities inc. cooking, outdoor learning, trips & sport. Along with tailored support and opportunities to help them identify and plan their next steps into post-16 education, training or employment.
The two day provision is aimed at students who may not be in a position to attend for the 3 days, we ask referrers to speak to our team at referral stage to determine which group would suit their student best.
Alternative Provision - KS3
Students attend two days per week (Mon & Fri), during which we support the development of their social and emotional skills and resilience, while also helping them stay engaged with Maths, English and Creative/DT. We place particular emphasis on equipping young people with the tools, strategies and understanding they need to remain in, or successfully return to, their mainstream school.
